How green was my Valley that day, too,
green and bright in the sun.

"How Green Was My Valley"
I took this photo from our deck last evening as the sun was starting to dip below the mountains behind me. I love that time of day, as the shadows throw the folds and creases of the land into relief and everything looks so soft and draped, like a blanket. The valley is very green right now, though the light cast by the setting sun gives it a muted, golden hue.
(I had you in mind when I took this photo, Rose, since you requested I share the morphing of our surroundings as spring unfolds and turns toward summer!) :-)
La,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! Thank you so much for sharing it.
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday,
Ali
Thanks, Ali! You have a wonderful Wednesday too! :-)
ReplyDelete(Your email this morning was lovely to wake up to and I'll answer it soon!) xoxo
That is so incredibly beautiful. I could just sit and stare out at that all day long...thanks for the spring morphology update...would love to see more.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous view! I love that time of day, too. It seems to peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good start for your very own green day. What a view my friend. I think I'm blessed to live near the ocean....but I don't know. Wowza.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on blue today but still have a drum class to attend. Hoping something might pop up there.
Rose ~ I could too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI shall do my best to keep sharing images of our springtime morphs. I have ambitious posting plans, but not nearly enough time to implement them! (Too much time spent staring at the view, maybe? I wish!) :-)
Molly ~ I always think I should say, "Thank you!" when someone compliments our view... as if I had anything to do with it being there, and being so beautiful! LOL I am only the messenger... but I am glad you like it. :-)
My favorite two times of day are when the world around me is waking up in the morning, and when it's getting ready for bed in the evening. One's invigorating, the other restful, and the lighting is great for both! :-)
Sue ~ You are blessed to live near the ocean! I love the mountains, the desert, the forests, the ocean, the prairie... they're all beautiful and ever-changing. I don't mean to be greedy, but I wish I had a view of each one from my house. (Guess I'd need a 5-sided house, lol) But the mountains have always drawn me the most... what is it about bumps in the landscape that appeal to me so much?
I peeked at your blue finds and enjoyed them a lot ~ expect a more focused visit soon. :-)
Wow, what a view! That must be such an inspirational sight to look at on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteGilding Lilies ~ Thanks for stopping by! Yes, it's a very inspiring view, and ever-changing, and one I could never imagine growing tired of looking at. :-)
