I wish I weren't a "Wednesday's Child"

hug me it's my birthday
And I need hugs! Today is not off to a good start. I need to deal with some unpleasant business this morning, for in the mail BW brought home last night there was a very rude medical bill from last summer, from a doctor's office that obviously never submitted it to my insurance (nor did they ever communicate with me about it in any way until now), and that's $1,215 more than it should be! Gee, happy birthday to me! >:-( The bill (and the timing) are bad enough, but this is a doctor's office I never wanted to have anything more to do with, so I'm not looking forward to having to deal with them. I hope to get it straightened out to my satisfaction quickly, easily and EARLY, so I can start enjoying my day. In the meantime, I fear this is about all the enthusiasm for celebrating I can muster...

Okay, now it's evening so I thought I'd write a quick update. Got that stupid bill straightened out quickly, easily and early as I'd hoped (the staggering incompetence that was behind the billing snafu, however, was beyond my powers to rectify!) So, since I enjoyed a happy outcome that was followed by a happier birthday...
Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words. ~Plautus (I'll provide the wine!) ;-)

  1. Hey Laloofah!
Happiest of Birthdays to you! I wish i'd come here earlier to remind you to INTEND that all goes smoothly with the doctor's office, before you call them! I know i don't need to tell you that our intentions are powerful tools to affect our world. So, envision it as done, easily and effortlessly, with the best possible outcome for all involved!
THEN, you have yourself a nice little celebration to commemorate the fine day you were born (this time around), and hug yourself for me!

  2. Thank you, Taza!
And oh yes, I did the intention thing! :-) Harder to do when one is thoroughly pissed off, I've discovered, but I did my best. LOL

And tonight I enjoyed a lovely celebration! I will try to blog about it soon, because my birthday turned out to be quite magical! :-)

Thank you for your sweet wishes and your hug! Wish you were here to enjoy a glass of Merlot with me!

  3. {{{Hugs}}} Sorry you had to deal with crap on your birthday.

In an 1887 version, Wednesday's child is switched with Friday's. So, actually you are loving and giving! :) wiki: Monday's Child

    Happy Birthday Week!! (More celebrating!)

  4. Hey, rift!
That wiki piece was VERY cool (and very interesting!)!! I definitely prefer the 1887 version and intend to use it henceforth. :-) Thanks for sharing it, and thanks too for your birthday hugs and sweet wishes! :-) xoxo

Will Blog For Comments. :-)

Thanks for taking the time to leave yours!

There is still strong in our society the belief
that animals and the natural world have value
only insofar as they can be converted into revenue.
That nature is a commodity.
And that the American dream is one of unlimited consumption.
There are many of us, on the other hand,
who believe that animals and the natural world
have value by virtue of being alive.
That Nature is a community to which we belong
and to which we owe our lives.
And that the deeper American dream is one of unlimited compassion.
